So, this is my blog. I'm starting it because my wife has been running one for a while and has had so much fun doing it that I figured it would be fun for me to have one too. My wonderful wife Katy will be posting mostly about family stuff on her blog, www.thehenings.blogspot.com, whereas I will be posting pretty much about whatever I want. I'm sure I will be putting stuff up about her and our adorable son George as well.
The reason for the name of the blog is a little obvious; I wear a kilt. I don't do it just because I want to, I wear it because I play the bagpipes. I'm with the Virginia Highland Pipes and Drums. I'm not bragging, but people are generally pretty impressed when they find all this out. I can't tell you how many people I've never even met before want to take a picture with me just because I have a kilt on. I've even been asked to play on random occasions, such as at Christmas parties and the like. I got into piping because I have Scottish ancestry and a love of music.
I hope ya'll enjoy the blog and what I have to say. If not, I'm gonna keep posting anyway.
